Followers ≠ Mastery
There’s a certain illusion that’s grown louder in the spiritual community:
The more followers someone has, the more enlightened they must be.
But the truth is, numbers aren’t proof of integrity.
And influence doesn’t always equal wisdom.
I’ve been in this space long enough to know that some of the most spiritually attuned, energetically clean, and genuinely heart-centered people I’ve ever met don’t have massive platforms.
I’ve been “in this space” since I was very young myself, going to spiritual classes with my mother, in little rooms above a bookshop, before the internet gave spiritual entrepreneurs a real space to showcase themselves. That’s how long I’ve been “in this space”.
Some of the most embodied spiritual people that I have met don’t have a public platform at all. Meanwhile, I’ve seen others who built empires on teachings they haven’t even embodied.
A friend of mine said something recently that stuck with me:
“Everybody I know who’s genuinely doing this work is much smaller than they should be. In terms of income, in terms of audience, in terms of recognition. It’s like we’re being protected… held back for a time when we’ll actually be seen for what we carry.”
I have received similar insights on this..
We are in an in between space, we aren’t fully anchored into a 5D timeline yet, and we are coming out of a 3D timeline. Many of these “big names” are NOT here to fully enter into the 5th dimension with us, many of them are here to clear the way.. They have deliberately chosen to NOT embody their teachings but to simply have a wide reach.
Comparison is the thief of joy..
Something that Rayan and I addressed in a podcast episode that is also coming up soon.
Some of us are here to build something different. Your path may not be about riding trends, going viral, or packaging spiritual truth for easy consumption.
The spiritual community, the “new-age'“ a term I don’t like but reluctantly have to admit I somehow have became a part of, has prioritized image over integration.
It’s hard not to notice the pattern. The spiritual industry is saturated with content that looks high-vibe but doesn’t actually carry any frequency. The algorithm rewards those who can post three reels a day and repeat whatever buzzword is currently trending, not those who are living the work and actually sitting with people through transformation.
I have said it before in other blogs, gift yourself the gift of slow-devotional mysticms and remembrance. You can go do 500 plant medicine journeys and say you’re so spiritual, you can do 500 courses and get certificates and say you’re so spiritual. But are you doing all of this to keep busy? Are you slowing down and becoming still enough to listen to your own voice, where the true healing lies?
Some of the biggest platforms out there are built not on mastery, but on optics; good looks (which is highly conditioned and subjective to begin with), generalized advice that speaks to everyone but only scratches the surface of true healing. Some creators grow their following not because of their insight, but because they’re good-looking, have a charming smile, and know how to say just enough of the right words in the right tone. But when you look closer, the message is erratic, repetitive, and often contradictory. It’s marketable, not anchored into the heart.
What we’re really witnessing: spiritual persona as performance
It’s a fine line to walk .. when you are gaining more popularity and claiming to “receive messages from God” telling you to engage in unethical behaviors that are then framed as “spiritual openmindedness”, framed as a sacred mission, channeled through direct guidance from God. But is it God speaking, or are the inflated numbers just giving you the confidence to forgo any true devotional practices to ensure that what you're receiving is actually coming from God? The line between going from well known spiritual entrepreneur to guru gone wrong is very fine in this case.. and we’re seeing it play out right now in the spiritual ‘industry’.
When someone builds an image so big, so “god-like” in the eyes of their followers, they can say almost anything, and people will buy it. Even if it’s completely out of alignment. Because the persona has become ‘the proof’.
This is why I say: Followers ≠ Mastery.
The dragons I work with are not here to help people “go viral.” They don’t care about reach. They care about resonance. They work with those who are willing to move through fire without needing applause. And they’ve shown me over and over again that sometimes, being kept small for a while is actually an act of protection. A way of keeping your frequency intact while the stage is still saturated with noise.
I’ve met healers who can shift timelines in a single sentence and no one knows their name.
And I’ve met people online with massive audiences who are giving out spiritual advice while barely holding themselves together behind the scenes.
Sidenote: Does that mean that per definition all large platforms are frauds? Not in the very least.. There are some amazing large (and smaller; because numbers don’t equate integrity) platforms:
Who do I recommend watching?
Who I believe to be fully in integrity and true Source-connection:
Kryon - channeled messages
Steve Nobel - all around new-age magician & healing audio creator
Matt & Joy Kahn - a couple embodying true God-frequency in my opinion
Lorin Krenn - an expert on true divine partnership
Sophie & Ben Falinski - amazing high frequency musician couple
Why? You’ll notice these 5 have 1 large thing in common.. presence.. no glamour, just pure Be-ing..
Know that I am available for deeper diving into any of your own belief systems and assisting you on your journey with my own work. Though promoting myself was not the goal of this blog. I want to remind you all that you already have the answers inside of you.
ps: I wrote this blog (as I often do with my blogs) days ago and it’s been in my drafts folder. I wrote this days before “that podcast” came out, not “because of” that podcast. So this blog is not a response to that specific podcast.
